US talks with Ming Wenzhou, Huawei's financial chief, for a possible deal

The US Department of Justice is in talks with Ming Wenzhou, chief financial officer of Chinese company Huawei, to negotiate a possible deal.
Numerous US media reports say the US Department of Justice is in talks with Ming Wenzhou's lawyers over a possible deal.
Huawei's chief financial officer was arrested in Canada two years ago. If the deal goes through, Ming Wenzhou will be able to return to China.
According to the Wall Street Journal, which first reported the news, the Huawei chief will have to admit the allegations against him.
Ming Wenzhou has been charged with allegedly violating US sanctions on Iran. He is accused of providing false information to HSBC Bank that could have violated US sanctions on Iran.
