A mysterious metal structure found in the desert of the US state of Utah has 'disappeared', but the mystery remains.
A shiny metal model or structure discovered last week in the Red Rock Desert in Utah is no longer there.
According to Utah's Bureau of Land Management, it has received credible reports that "an unknown party" has removed the structure from where it met state officials on November 18.
Pictures of the place on social networking sites show that there is nothing there but a piece of metal and a few stones.
That structure has now disappeared in the Red Rock Desert |
After the discovery of this 12 feet high structure, a large number of people were interested in it and the question in everyone's mind was how it got to this place and in this regard, many people visited there.
So far no one was able to send in the perfect solution, which is not strange.
According to BBC correspondents Kevin Poonia and Ashita Nagesh, on Monday 18 November, authorities in the US state of Utah revealed that they had found a model or structure made of shiny metal that had sunk into the ground in the state's Red Rock Desert. It happened, but the authorities kept the location of the model a secret.
He hoped that by doing so, he would be able to go on leisure trips that would keep people away from the place, which is quite a chore, and said that people should not go there because they are there. May be lost
But that didn't happen, and on Wednesday, Instagram began posting photos with the structure, perhaps to convince the world that they were the first to arrive.
But it is still a mystery what it is, and who planted it in the desert, and why.
David Surber was the first non-official to reach the site |
How did you get to the secret place in the desert?
They were assisted by Internet users in locating the structure in the Red Rock Desert, who quickly discovered the site with the help of Google Earth.
David Surber, a 33-year-old former U.S. military officer, says he decided to go there because the thing had been hidden there for five years.
David drove for six hours overnight to get to the location claimed by a Reddit user.
State officials were counting the specific sheep by helicopter |
State officials identified the structure on November 18 as they were inspecting the site by helicopter to count specific sheep found there.
Reddit user Tim Cullen wrote that he monitored the helicopter's flight and noted the location where it disappeared from the radar because it suggested the helicopter might have landed.
They then surveyed the site in the desert with the help of Google Earth and compared it with images released by authorities. With his help, they were able to discover the rock that they suspected was the model.
At this point, a long, thin shadow was visible in the picture.
Old satellite images on Google Earth show that this shadow did not exist at this location in 2015, but it did arrive in October 2016.
Tim Cullen says he guessed that once the information about the place came, people would want to go there.
